What does it take to create an officially recognised religion?


Aparently not much more that a couple of 'like-minded' people (cloud-lovers, maybe) some sort of deity/deities and a postal address, or so it would seem.


With this in mind, I've been thinking about setting up my own. Nothing small and local you understand, but something that should appeal to the largest disenfranchised group out there. There need to be a lot of them and they MUST come from a fairly mindless demographic so I can clean up financially - and I want them to be as confused as possible:


We're to be called "The Global Lutherangic Union of Evangelicostal Bapticathmon Orthomusilm Young Scientosleyans"


Our font is a plastic bag, our Holy Water Bostik and our symbol is a thumb and forefinger stuck together.


The GLUEBOYS shall worship at the Altar Of Elmer behind dark buildings in rundown inner city areas.


We're happy to affiliate with other pseudo-religious groups if there's money in it.


This may sound ridiculous, but there are worse.......
